WILL I LIKE BEING A KIWANIS MEMBER?

Kiwanis is a SERVICE organization of business & professional men and women who donate their TIME, TALENT & RESOURCES to living up to our motto, "Serving the Children of the World".


Prospective members are welcome to attend one, free luncheon as a guest of a current member.  If you are not familiar with any members, please reach out to us at Mailbox@TauntonKiwanis.org.

Annual Dues: $100.00

One-Time Set Up Fee: $  60.00*

Luncheon Cost:   $10.00**


* This is a fee to set your membership with Kiwanis International HQ.


** You are billed for a minimum of seven luncheons per quarter.  If you attend more luncheons you are billed accordingly.

Luncheons are held weekly on Tuesday's at 12:15 PM except on major holidays or by vote of the board to suspend a particular luncheon date.

*Presiding Officer or Chaplain offer     

GRACE before luncheon. 


* Happy Dollars. Members pay $1.00  to make announcements. 


* Club Business/Announcements.


* Guest Speaker.


* Luncheon.

IS ATTENDANCE REQUIRED:

The Club wants it's members to attend as many luncheon meetings, and service events as possible.


In earlier days, a  member missing four meetings in a row was automatically removed from membership, but this rule is no longer enforced. 

PERFECT ATTENDANCE AWARDS:

Yes, if a member attends every weekly luncheon for a year, they will receive a pin for "Perfect Attendance"


* Attending Service Projects counts for a meeting crecit.


* Attending a Kiwanis Luncheon in another city while traveling on business or vacation counts for a meeting credit.


* If FOUR or more members of the local club gather for business or social reasons, each member receives a meeting credit, provided they report the event to the club secretary.
