President Shaunna O'Connell is serving for the 2017-18 administrative year.
Shaunna is a long time member and has served as a Vice President and member of the Board of Directors, working on several committees and most service projects. Ms. O'Connell is currently a Mass. State Rep. for the Third Bristol District.
1st VP / Treas. Gordan is an accountant and for many years was the business manager of a major country club in the greater Boston area, and Treasurer of Congregation Agudath Achim in Taunton.
Gordon is the owner/operator of "Gordon L. Amgott Financial Services" in Dighton, Massachusetts. He is also a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War.
John McCaul served as President for the 2016-2017 administrative year. Prior to that John served as a Vice President and Member of the Board of Directors. John is generally the first to volunteer for a project and brings a high level of positive enthusiasm to the club. He is currently an executive with ServiceMaster Dynamic Cleaning, and a member of the Taunton Municipal Council. John is also a US Army Veteran.
Club Secretary Gene Polanik has held his position for three and a half decades and is one of the most active members of the organization. He also maintains the 'Club Archives' which take up most of his garage, forcing him to park his vehicle outside! A dedicated public servant, Gene is a long time team member with the US Postal Service.
Life Member Charles "Chuck" Williams is currently the longest serving member of the Kiwanis Club of Taunton, and has served on the Board of Directors, As President, and is a former Lt. Governor for the district. Mr. Williams is the retired head of the Respiratory Therapy Dept. at Morton Hospital. Chuck is an avid photographer and fisherman and currently operates The Eagle Trading Co. Bookstore in Assonet, Mass, which specializes in vintage and current cook books.
Mr. Almeida is a long time club member, and the "Go-To-Guy" when club officers need someone to GET THINGS DONE.
"Mike" is currently serving as Chairman of the Membership Committee, and provides outstanding printing services for promoting club projects in his position as General Manager at Taunton/Davol Printing Co.
Mr. Donald "Don" Cleary is a Past President of the Club, and currently serves as Chairman of the Scholarship Committee, and is a former Sup. of the Taunton Public School Dept.
Don is an elected member of the Taunton Municipal Council, and a decorated veteran of the US Army having served in-country during the Vietnam War. Mr. Cleary retired from his military service with the rank of Lt. Colonel.
Ms. Doherty is a long time club member, and currently serves on the Scholarship Committee, and as Volunteer Chef Chairwoman for the club's "Men with Taste" event.
Carol is an elected member of the Taunton School Committee and co-host of the local radio program, "Silver City Meeting House" on WVBF-AM.
Mr. Farrell is a Past President of the club and has held many roles in club administration. It was Bruce who founded the club's nearly two decade running "MEN WITH TASTE" fund raiser that benefits the Scholarship Fund. Mr. Farrell is a Real Estate Investor and owner of "Chestnut Realty", with properties in Massachusetts, Florida and Texas.
Ms. Hannon is a Past President of the club and currently serves on the Board of Directors. Brenda is an executive with the Taunton Federal Credit Union, and is always on hand to provide volunteer help for Kiwanis Club projects.
Mr. Huntoon is a Past President of the club (Twice) and currently serves as both Assistant Secretary & Assistant Treasurer. He has volunteered to be responsible for the clubs computer based reporting to Kiwanis International.
Keith was also the co-founder of the club's "FLAGS OF COURAGE" Project. He is owner/operator of "Don's Office Equipment", in Taunton.
Mr. Orcott is a long time member of the club and currently serves on the board and several committees. Steve is a CPA with the firm of Donellon, Orcutt, Patch & Stallard in Taunton.
Mr. Quinn is a Past President (Twice) of the club, and has provided great service for many years as a member of the Board of Directors and on countless committees and projects. Terry is co-founder of the club's "Flags of Courage" project.
Mr. Rouleau is a power of example to all club members due to his service to a number of community organizations, including over 45 years with the Taunton Kiwanis. He has provided great service in improving the club's Food Booth at the former Rehoboth Fair, and has received awards for his selfless support of Kiwanis projects on the International Level. Charlie is a retired roofing contractor, real estate investor, and proudly served in the US Army Reserve for over 40 years.
Mr. Sherman is a long time club member who is always available for service as a member of the board of directors, chairing committees, and working on projects. Glenn is currently Asst. VP & Branch-Client Relationship Officer with the Bridgewater Savings Bank for Taunton & Raynham.
Ms. Thomas is a long time club member and currently serves on the Board of Directors and several committees. She provides great service to the community via Kiwanis as well as in her position with the Associates for Human Service organization in Taunton.
Ms. Winter-Clark has been very active with club events and has provided transportation for Taunton High School "KEY CLUB" member representatives to club luncheons. She for several years chaired the Raffle/Prize Committee for the Men with Taste Event, and is instrumental in organizing the club's annual holiday gathering. Sue is owner/operator of the Susan Winter School of Dance in Raynham.
Ms. Worcester is a newer member of the club, but enjoys being a positive productive member. She also provides great service to the community via her role as Director of the Bethany House, a Senior Care Facility in Taunton.
Ms. Young is a long time member who has served on many committees and participated in many community service projects bringing several new opportunities for service to the club.
Ginny is retired from the Taunton School Dept., and an avid sports car enthusiast.
Mr. Cabral is the newest member of the Kiwanis Club of Taunton. John was recently named Superintendent of the Taunton School Department. Following Mr. Don Cleary and Dr. Julie Hacket, Mr. Cabral is the third Superintendent of the Taunton School System to be a member of the club, and serving the children of the community beyond the workplace.
Recently the US Army and Kiwanis International partnered to provide speaker programs for local clubs with the goal of introducing the concept of service to high school students in the area. Then SFC Jonathan Wiley, US Army was director of the Taunton Recruiting Office. SFC Wiley was eager to have his organization become the Kiwanis Club's "First Corporate Member"!
The US Army Recruiting Station, Taunton has provided wonderful assistance to the Kiwanis Club of Taunton via their membership, with current members, SFC Erik Castillo, Sgt. Ryan Guilfoil, and SSGT Brandon Mayo always being reading willing and able to be of service to the club and the community!
